Essential oils are also easily absorbed through the skin. Adding them to your bath, massage, or reflexology treatment will enhance their benefits, helping support your immune system and increasing your overall health.

Essential oils are naturally antibacterial and antiviral, and many are anti-fungal and anti-microbial, providing another way to assist your body in healing naturally without unpleasant side effects or creating resistant diseases.

Important Things to Know About Essential Oils
Essential oils are highly concentrated. Use them correctly and safely.
- Less is plenty. When in doubt, use less.
- Follow the directions for formulas exactly. (Refer to our conversion chart for measuring.)
- Always dilute essential oils with a carrier oil, such as our organic fractionated coconut oil or organic jojoba oil, before applying to the skin.
- Do not apply essential oils neat (undiluted) onto the skin unless advised by an expert.
- Cap essential oil bottles tightly as the oils evaporate rapidly.
Use glass bottles, such as the amber or cobalt blue ones that we carry, for undiluted essential oils and to mix essential oil blends.
- If using a plastic container for formulas, add water or carrier oils BEFORE adding essential oils.
- When making a blend with essential oils, mix them by gently rolling the bottle back and forth between your hands. DO NOT SHAKE.
- Mix small quantities of aromatherapy blends as some carrier oils go rancid quicker than others.
- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight when using essential oils from citrus fruits such as BERGAMOT, GRAPEFRUIT, LEMON, LIME, and ORANGE as they contain an ingredient that may cause skin sensitivity to sunlight.
Avoid PEPPERMINT OIL if you are pregnant, nursing or have high blood pressure.
- PARENTS of BABIES and CHILDREN and PREGNANT and/or LACTATING MOTHERS should always consult a health care practitioner before using essential oils.
